The Challenge

Every venue tells a story, but few have as unique an origin as Rise City Church. Originally built as an old roller skating rink, this space presented significant challenges for modern worship production. With an irregular room shape and acoustic characteristics inherited from its past life, a standard audio setup would not suffice. Rise City Church needed more than just new equipment. They needed a complete overhaul of sound, light, and visual projection.

At ToneProper, we believe that modern systems must be designed together, not done "a la carte." When we came in for Rise City Church, we didn't offer a partial upgrade. We provided a full venue integration replacing every element to ensure the new system worked harmoniously as one cohesive unit.

The Solution

The heart of any worship space is its sound. For Rise City Church, we selected the FL Series Dual 8" Compact Subcardioid Line Array Module paired with Fulcrum CS-121 Cardioid Subwoofers both chosen for their clarity and reliability in large, reflective spaces.

Approach: Full sound system replacement to ensure zero compatibility gaps between audio components.
Result: A rock solid PA system that delivers consistent coverage throughout the entire space.

Lighting & Visuals

Designed In-House the visual atmosphere we achieved sets the emotional tone for the service. We designed and installed a professional lighting rig using ADJ fixtures, chosen for their high-quality beam control and reliability.

For video production, we sourced a state-of-the-art 5mm pitch Proper LED Video Wall with Native 4K Resolution (Not yet pictured). This high-definition display was specified to ensure crisp visuals for streaming and projection needs, completing the immersive worship environment.

Acoustics

Because this venue is converted from a skating rink, the building structure required specialized acoustic management and custom treatment for this unique space. Off the shelf products simply wouldn't work. We performed detailed acoustic measurements of the room before hanging a single custom made panel.

Hanging Ceiling Treatment: Designed to absorb and diffuse sound utilizing the high ceiling area.
Wall Treatment: Custom panels tailored to the specific geometry of the room.
Bass Trapping: Strategic placement to control low-end frequencies typical of large, reflective hard surfaced buildings.
